Service Level Agreements are our Partnership Agreements and differ from Data Searches in several ways. They are intended as a cost-effective solution for larger organisations who need a longer term license agreement for use of WSBRC data and additional services.
Service Level Agreements are normally offered from a minimum of 2 years to maximum of 5 years and are charged annually.
The principal difference is the granting of a data use license for the duration of the agreement 2-5yrs, rather than for one-off jobs or projects as for data searches which are output based and charged at a commercial rate.
SLAs also attract the following benefits:
- Discounted rates for large areas and volumes of data
- Discounted rates for services such as mapping, consultancy, training and support
- Protection and reduction from annual uplifts in data-search costs, annual increases limited to inflationary adjustments.
We also offer flexible options for specific services and products that may be required:
- Inclusion of Wiltshire Section 41 Priority Habitat dataset
- Inclusion of Wiltshire Schedule 9 Invasive Species dataset
- Use of data by Third-Parties such as Consultants and Contractors
- Bespoke formatting and processing of data
- 6-monthly data refresh
Income derived from SLAs helps to finance the core work and services of WSBRC, as such we offer the opportunity to join the WSBRC Advisory Committee to help support and guide our work.
